One of my bulbs will only work on dip so I'm gonna change them both.  I know its a ba20d fitting but I'm wondering which bulb to upgrade to. Which one would you recommend between ......  non halogen bulb 45/40 or halogen bulb 35/35. I think the halogen might throw out a better light but wondering what others think.

Hi, l went for the halogen option on mine after reading a few posts on here. About ?10 for a pair.
Had them in since October with no issues, just more light on the road  :)

Thanks  markylemin for the reply, I think that's what I'll go for.   Funny enough The site you gave me  was one I have bookmarked to buy the bulbs, at least now I know they are OK. 🚵

Don't forget to check the alignment after changing the bulbs, one of mine was lower than the other.

I'm looking to get as bright bulb as possible on my baby dero, any suggestions on products?
Also, what do the different numbers mean on a bulb spec?

Without changing anything the best seem to be either non halogen 45/40 or a halogen 35/35, both with a ba20d standard fitting . some people talk about Hids but working with the wiring is beyond me. 🚵

Thanks for the quick reply micro, which would give me the best bulb for brightness and range?

I'm gonna try the halogen  35/35, I think they might best the best of the two. Someone on here might explain about hids. That's supposed to give a very good light but i think there's a ballast and a relay to be fitted and that's beyond what I can do.  Good luck with whichever one you go with. 🚵

HID lamps aren't usually too bad to wire in - basically all you need to do is run one wire direct to the battery, and the headlamp plug goes into the HID unit - push fit - easy - the sod is that you have a ballast unit a lot of extra cable to find space for and to secure so it's not rattling about.

straight swap LED bulbs are getting better, but they output a lot of heat (hence the heatsink/dissipation arrays) and that can cause problems - they may damage the headlamp housing, and the LED's themselves will self destruct if they get too hot. Worth a punt maybe at the prices in the link above, but they aren't quite the miracle bulbs that they are often claimed to be  >:(

I received these from the seller best4choose on friday, it took only 14 days to come from china, they are twice and bright as halogens, and the most important thing for me is the high/dipped beam functions properly, there are two LEDS next to each other the front one does dipped beam and the back one is angled differently and does high beam, others I had taken a punt on just had dipped beam.

Sounds good, any chance of a few pics of the bulbs at night. Im always up for an inprovement on the lights. Maybe  they might attract the attention of some car drivers during the day as well, always a bonus.   🚵

Just ordered 3 2 for the bike and a spare. Just a quick question, probably being thick but with the bulbs, did you put them in LED side up or down?
