Rattle when accelerating on an 05 Vara 125

When accelerating  I have a tapping noise coming from the front sprocket.

I have checked the sprocket, the bolts holding it on.  The chain is tensioned and aligned correctly.

Are there any bearings attached to the spline that might have gone?

I've had this bike for about 13 years and it'd had zero engine maintenance while I've had, aside from two oil and filter changes a year, air filter every two years, chain and sprockets twice since I've had it and I overhaul the brakes and fluid before MOT.  Never had any issue with the engine so far.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Sounds like a stretched chain, tight spot on the chain and/or worn sprocket.

Is the chain tensioner towards the end of the adjustment range ?

Can you post a picture of the sprocket teeth.
I wonder what happen if I click on this - Ooops

When I get back into the country I will do so.
