Ignition switch

Hello. I have a 2002 XL1000 v2 Varadero. The ignition switch is damaged and I am trying to buy a new one. To be more precise it is the base that has the wires attached to it which is damaged. When I look at genuine Honda sites they say it is discontinued. I don't want to buy a used one if I can help it. I have noticed some aftermarket pre HISS "1999-2000" complete switches with Keys on Ebay for around £50. They have 3 wires the same colour and configuration as mine. Does anybody know if this switch will fit in the top yoke of my bike and more importantly work? I was thinking of attaching the key transponder to the HISS receiver ring .

I've tried both of those and others also. Like David Silver. They all say no longer available.
