Leaking LCD in Instrument Panel

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and am a very happy XL1000V ('99) rider.
I've got a problem with the IP and I was wondering if anyone has got any advice.

The left LCD screen of the IP is leaking. It started in a corner but is always leaking further, taking up almost half of the screen now. I can barely make out my total km's anymore.

Does anyone know if it is possible to replace 'only' the affected LCD or does the whole IP-unit need to be replaced ?
Does anyone have (or can I find on this forum) any good references for parts for this older model ?!
