Hi guys
Just wondered if you could all stick a rough location down on this topic so that I can start to organise a run for you guys.
Eskdale was a fantastic experience but obviously a bit of a trek for most of you guys so I'm going to try to set a run/s based at ability (of the machine) for you guys just so as you dont feel left out!
I'm not trying to be patronising at all just trying to get the feel of things with you guys!

...errrm...member map?
A smite for that sarky remark Harv. O0 I know about the member map but:
1.Not everybody is on there
2.I dont know all the 125 riders and by asking them on their section I would probably get the info reasonably quickly
Thanks
Wolfman

Despite contriving to stall in the middle of a roundabout and have the back wheel four feet off the ground practising emergency stops I'm somehow deemed road legal now. Every Rugby League ground in Cumbria, here I come.

Hello Doctor,
I'm just down the M4 at Bridgend. Aaaare you real caaaaaardiff or do you just live there :crazy2:
Born and bred in Cardiff - but without the accent! ???
Simon, do you ride a baby vara or have you moved on (its hard to spot the real 125 riders on here!)? If still on the 125, we should meet up at some stage for a chin wag. Thunder road your local I suppose?
Doctor,
I moved on to the bigger stuff a while back....er 20yrs or so ago. Yes Thunderoad is so local to me if the wind is in the right direction I can spit and hit the front wall. If you are planning a visit drop me a line I'll join you for a cuppa in the new Cafe.
Cheers, Simon
Nice one! I passed my test way back in 1991 but bought the 125 vara at Christmas (for the cheap insurance and to get back into riding in a gentle way) - for which the baby vara is perfect. Now regretting not getting the BMUU GS650 I was also looking at at the same time - but having said that, this bike is great for what is is and puts a huge grin on my face every time I go out on it.
See you for that coffee soon ish - I didn't know the cafe was open :-[
Thanks everyone for your kind words, been having a fantastic time since CBT. Living on the English side of the border, four miles from Gretna, I have access to some of the best scenery in the country to practise on. On a few trips out this weekend we managed about 200 miles through gorgeous moors and fells. Over most of my nerves now, though I've yet to ride alone, and I'm just sat here wondering why it's taken me so long to do this. :idiot2:

I'm in Ayrshire, on the West Coast of Scotland, it'd be easy peasy to get down to england, were it not for the fact I still can't get on motorways...
Still, windy B roads are the best roads!

Hi all from the north east of Scotland.
Just got meself a 2001 reg wee Vara for commuting duties. Having owned 2 of the big beasts in the past, the rev's required to get this wee machine moving are an eye opener :o.
Enjoying thrashing the nads off it as well as stripping it down to check out all the electrical and mechanical bits & bobs. Already changed the headlamp bulbs for halogen ones, as well as popping some LED side lights in at the same time. The LEDs out glow even the halogen bulbs, but combined they are miles better than the goldfish bowl sized bulbs that were in the bike.
