French site MotoStation says ?reliable sources? have leaked the price of Yamaha?s star bikes of 2010.

2010 Yamaha FZ8: official first picture
They claim the R1200GS-rivalling Super Tenere will cost ?14,999 (?13,416) inclusive of ABS and arrive in June and the middleweight roadster FZ8 ?7999 (?7155) and arrive in May.

That would put the Tenere at least ?2500 above the BMUU R1200GS Adventure and ?1700 above an ABS-equipped Ducati Multistrada.

Add that to the projected cost of the new V4 honda Adventure bike and it looks like I'll be riding my current Varadero for a few years yet

Its not a Vara competitor though is it.... its up there with the more hard core GSA or KTM with real off road capability...... Honda need to get their act together if they want to keep pace...the Vara is an Adventure Tourer rather than an Adventure bike.... the last (and still one of the best IMHO) genuine Adventure bikes Honda made was the Africa Twin.... all that needed was an uprated swing arm/shock with better forks and a taller 6th gear for distance work.
I have to say I would buy the Yamaha if it were 'out'....
Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path..... and leave a trail...!

.....and remember, "Light travels faster than the speed of sound, which is why some people appear bright until they speak"
