Hi,
Just bought the latest version XL1000 and have transferred a number of parts from my old 55 plate (VA5) Varadero to my VA8 so this is what works and what doesn't.

Rear Hugger (NWS) - Straight swap no issues (best to take the rear wheel off to make it easier & faster to fit)
Hella HiD lights (using the high front connection points either side of the main lights)
Fender Extender - Straight swap - no issues just drilling the locating hole
Tank bag (Baglux/Bagster) - Straight Swap and it fits like a glove only issue for me is my old bike was Silver and new bike is Black..... bought one from Buster and got my 10% discount  ;D
Jack up kit - Straight swap but haven't done this as the bike (for some reason) appears higher than the original but I think it is something to do with the old springs

I also swapped the tyres, sprockets, chain as these were only 6 months old..... it is the Yorkshire man in me :-)

The only other thing I have tried to fit but don't appear to be a straight swap is the rear pannier racks but given the changes to exhaust system and revised tail light arrangement it looks odd

All good with the new bike and looking forward to the good weather arriving & removing my waterproof's.

Cheers   DIVINGONTHEREEF
