Top Box Tip !

Everytime theres a dip or bump in the road the contents of the top box clunks around.

Givi want ?30 for a liner (for the box, not ocean going before you ask MacV) but Millets sell treking mats for sitting on made of a hard foam for ?1.

Cut to shape stops contents sliding and bouncing around !! Cheap and effective....

As you can see I have to much time on my hands to ponder such trivial things !!

Good tip, but I just put a very small car mat in the bottom of my top box.  because it is small the pile is very high and it does the trick too.

What top box have you got for your 125? If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for it? Did it fit on the standard tray or did you have to buy one to fit the box?

Bob, all I know of the top of me head is that it is  Honda box.  It was on the bike when I bought it, luckily, so I cant help you with prices etc.  Not much use I know, but I can recommend it cos it is nice and big

Now that I've got a topbox, which , hopefully, will fit the bike, I'm going to half-fill it with treacle, as this will act as a damper for anything that may want to roll around inside it.

I got that tip from the biking section of Viz.

I'll let you know if it's any good

If you fill the lid part of the box with treacle as well, the contents will not bounce up either.

Don't throw away used match sticks, they make ideal splints for Crane flys with broken legs !

If you find your child is choking on an inadvertantly half-swallowed ice cube, simply pour boiling water down their throat, and  VOILA; problem solved!
