AA quoted me on my existing bd cover roadside relay an extra ?140 .

caroll nash wouldn't cover me unless I insured the bike with them.

my own insurer quoted ? 89 for an anual policy

how does this compare with others ?

Not sure on price etc but Green Flag have always been excellent operators...Ive never used them but there are some on here that have...frequently!
Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path..... and leave a trail...!

.....and remember, "Light travels faster than the speed of sound, which is why some people appear bright until they speak"

The free European breakdown cover makes insuring with Carole Nash an easy choice if you travel abroad.

As Harv says this is not the best place to ask. You might get more responses on one of the BMUU forums  ;)
I wonder what happen if I click on this - Ooops

i agree with SB. i've always used nash. easy to do, good roadside service, but , like most insurers, love to charge at every opportunity.
snatch a kiss.....or vice versa

I am with Britannia via the CSMA and it sounds a great deal cheaper than that.....

Thanks guys, I will look into it some more and let you know my findings.

There is one expert on european breakdown on this forum.  His vast experience on using various companies is second to none.  He will probably comment soon unless he has broken down        again.

Personally Carolle nash for me everytime.
My initials are GS, but I ride a Varadero.

Contrary to popular belief, i have only broken down once whilst abroad or any where else  >:( .

Ok i had a puncture in Bulgaria, repaired in Turkey.
New chain and sprockets fitted in Slovakia, i had got the best out of them.
A couple of cylinder head gaskets went in France but rode on through Andora into Spain.
Another set of chain and sprockets were required during the Welsh VIM but got it home without incident.

As for Breakdown insurance, only used it once and they were fantastic.

told them of my predicament in Spain and after they stopped laughing, got me a taxi to the airport an air ticket home and a taxi from liverpool airport to my house and 2 weeks later, bike repaired in Spain, they did the same in reverse back to Spain.
think the policy cost around ?60-?70.

i had to pay for all the repairs.

Will deffinately recomend them and if they let me i'll use them again  :D .

Good news. Hope you don't need to test it.

@jackyork me too lol .I've done 1000 miles in the last couple of weeks with the mrs on th back getting used to the bike and the overall weight as well as lots of slow riding in heavy traffic  .

I have to say I love the bike , it handles like a dream for such a big lump but I'm still getting used to the engine  though as it's nowhere near the power of my old bike.

It hasn't happened to me but I am assured that if you ever 'grab a big handful' of throttle, she WILL rear up and put the front wheel in the air...unbidden'.
Mrs might not like that.
