AutoRoute with the Zumo

Hi all,

I'm planning our European trip this year on the MapSource application that came with my Zumo. I'm finding it quite antiquated with it's features.  :(

Basically I would like to enter the day starting and ending times and how long I'm planning to ride for but I cannot see this in the application (I have the latest version). I remember being able to enter this in a very old version of AutoRoute Express years ago so I was quite surprised to not find it in the latest update to MapSource.

Does anyone know if I can successfully use MS AutoRoute (Express or Full) and still sync it up with the Zumo (and Google Earth)? Or is there another solution that other people use where it can work out on the fly what day and time (approx.) you arrive a specific locations?

Thanks   O0

Autoroute 2010 (which I have) works fine with Zumo550 and Zumo660.  Not tried with GoogleEarth, but I have loaded in Googlemaps routes in to both Autoroute2010 and directly in to the Zumo550 with the google plugin for internet explorer.

Personally I think TYRE is better than the Garmin software, and it works in conjunction with Google Earth or Maps.

And it happens to be free. Although I get the feeling it'd work even better with a TomTom unit, as it seems Garmin was a bit of an afterthought by the programmer, and Garmin's method for getting info in to the unit isn't as well thought out as TomTom. But IMHO Garmin is better at directing.
