Hello All
The bike club (PMT) of which I am a member is planning a week away in Austria in June 2010 with a base in the Lienz, Tirol region.

Can anyone tell me of any good accomodation in the area and any info on daily ride out would be appreciated.

Thanks

Tboy

Mark H

The accom is all good and you can ride in any direction for great roads!

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path..... and leave a trail...!

Thanks for reply. Trouble is with up to 18 peeps, 32 in Scotland a few years ago,  we need to book in advance and the plan is to use a base for afew days. The VIM12 location in Zams looks good or over towards Lienz which would give us access to Bay of Venice,Slovenia and  lotsa big snowy hills and passes.

When are you planning to go? If the dates are not set consider visiting the BMUU meet at Garmisch over the first weekend of July either on your way there or on the way back.

The VIM 12 Location is Ideal, they cater for Biker's and are Biker;s themselves, they may even do a guided tour for you.
And from there you can get to most of the Passes

Call in at Hanger 7 in Salzburg - well worth a quick visit. Also consider visiting KTM at Mattighofen. The factory tour there is apparently very good.
