Any recommendations as to the best mount to use and where to mount it. Not keen on the U shaped bar mount that comes with it? <thanks>

I've used the bracket that replaces the half moon type fitting on the left hand handlebar on a few different bikes and it works very well for me.
Team DNF is now just waiting for another arse kicking...

I've enlarged the holes on a ball bracket so that it fits on the front tank mounting bolts, used a clamp (3" I think it is) from RAM mounts to hold the Zumo cradle, put a little bit of padding on the tank and rested the cradle on the padding and then tightened the clamp up, real tight,
Works for me  :good:

Looked at those, does it suffer from vibration when on the move?

Big Dave

Yes they all do,

its a single piece of steel, bent/folded to fit.
It bolts to the bike therefore, vibrates as much as the bike does,
rough road lots of vibration, smooth road little vibrations.

I bit the bullet and went Migsel mount also.

Downside - expensive bit of bent metal.

Upside - positions the Zumo in best position to view just above other dials, can't see it suffering any more vibes than anywhere else on the bike, looks like its meant to be there rather than the u bolt arrangement provided (been asked more than once if it was a factory fit), and the wiring isn't stressed by being bent/unbent when on handlebars.

So, despite initial misgivings I think it was worth it.
