Anyone for France in June 2006 ?

I can't get enought time off work for VIM in Sicily next year, so I'm off to Jausiers in France for the first week in June. It's near the Italian border, 50 miles (?) north of Nice , and near Barcelonette. It's full of twisty Alpine roads and cols. Two mates are going (non-Varas, but, hey!), but a fourth mate has had to cancel already. Anyone fancy coming along? There's room for one only.

All mod-cons apartment in one of these RCI holiday places has been booked (sleeps six, but we like our comfort, so only four are going) in Jausiers, so it will be the base. ?100 per head for the flat.

More details available if anyone's interested. BTW, there is currently a maybe from another mate up here in Jockland, but I don't think he'll be able to go; so I'm just fishing at the moment

That's the ferry booked; ?108 return Hull - Zeebrugge. Cabin for 4, but only 3 in it at the moment. Other details as per original post.

Counting Harv, that's 3 people expessed an interest recently. I've just heard back from my mate about the apartment in Jausiers. As he's an RCI club member (- and it's one of their apartments), it's something to do with the number of points he has;- this means he's only allowed 4 people in the apartment. I've asked him to enquire if that can be changed, or would cost extra, but I'm waiting for him to come back to me on that one.

Details at present are;-
Hull to Zeebrugge, dep 7pm Thursday 1st June, arr Sat 2nd at 08.30.
Friday night in B&B half-way through France. (nothing arranged for that)
Saturday; continue to Jausiers. Leave Friday morning, get B&B half-way on road back up (nothing arranged for that). Depart Zeebrugge Saturday 10th at 7pm, back in Hull Sunday 11th at 8am.

Ferry costs as above, apartment cost is ?100 per person, but that's based on four.

If the apartment thing doesn't work out for more than four people, there's no problem in someone organising their own accommodation / tent or whatever.

HC, id be interested as my annual Le Mans 24 hour trip is cancelled this year,
but due to other commitments ill have to give it a miss.   
Been looking into MCI tours as i had booklet thru post.......... not bad but reckon i
could do it a bit cheaper.

Thinking of getting a few Giant trailie riders from Guernsey to go on outward
bound trip....on bikes, Beemers, Africa's Twins, Vara's, Tigers and KTM's.
Thought about a trip north to lakes...........

Mate's just confirmed that the apartment can only be booked for four, so this could go on the toss of coin. Or, if more than 1 wants to come along, there's hotels & guest houses in the town (find them on this site, amongst others;-   http://www.cybevasion.com  It might work out just as cheap as the apartment!

I'm absolving myself from any "organising" other than sharing the details posted above, so fight / discuss here if you still want to come. Put your names up here and talk to each other.

One other, who I've pm'd to see if he's still up for it. If he says no, then all you have to do is pass the following simple test and you'll be known as "The 4th Musketeer"  :laugh:

Can you fart loudly, and on command?
Do you mind sharing a bed with a strange man?
Can you swear in at least two languages?
Can you fall stylishly off a bike whilst travelling at under 10mph, and remain unhurt?
Can you drink to excess? (- if no, are you prepared to try it?)
Can you cook an edible breakfast and evening meal at least once whilst there?
Can you pee up a wall higher than 5' (1525mm)?
