Has anyone fitted one of these to a Vara. I have just ordered one and am planning where to fix it! Any sensible suggestions or tips.

the nautalus is a big old    horn
best to seperate the horn from the   motor and[maby under seat ?} connect with  a   air tube
the instructions on the package suck but u can do this

off crash bars is good
the magnum is much lighter and a bracket off the crash bar bolt was easy     O0

i chose the magnum  and decided not to hide it behind the fairing panel      ..after all i want people to hear it   .....its well loud  and much more compact       ........

you dont notice it that much   alittle function over form
:o the difference in sound betwwen the two is not so great        ....

you must have been flying  cos i was going real fast when i passed you??

I fitteda Stebel Nautilus to my '99 Vara a few years ago.   It fitted onto the existing horn bracket with a wee bit of persuasion, but it wasn't difficult.   It fits quite neatly and doesn't foul anything.   I've uploaded a pic which shows it in position, but not much else!

Many thanks for the replies, as I have ordered it I will fit it and see how things go. It would be nice to wake a few cagers up!

Make sure you use a relay for it ..... I went the lazy route and just 'plugged in' mine initially and it took the fuse out every time...
Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path..... and leave a trail...!

.....and remember, "Light travels faster than the speed of sound, which is why some people appear bright until they speak"

I never bothered with a relay and so far it's been fine.    Shouldn't have said anything, should I.... ???
