The best of scottish bridges

Just for the sheer novelty value, I headed up the A737 through Dalry / Kilwinning, carried on up to Linwood, turned off towards erskine bridge, crossed over to north side (hurrah, toll free!). From there headed in to Glasgow, wiggled my way through the streets to get onto the A803 towards Springburn. From there, kept on the A803 past Kirkintilloch and through to Falkirk. Along on the A904 - lovely bit of road - follow it all the way and it takes you through Grangemouth, past the big (and I mean bloody huge) Innovene plant, through Bo'ness, and along a gorgeous bit with nice easy bends to the Forth Road bridge. Up and over, round the roundabout at the northside, and back over, (although stopping in at North Queensferry seems a good idea) and head along the Edinburgh bypass, to the A71. The A71's a great road. Stop in Strathaven (That's "Strayven" for you un-jockanese  ) for a cheap and cheerful carry-out, and the A71 takes you out at Kilmarnock, on the A77. From there, go wherever you darn well please!
