Hello all.  I realise there are not many members to this forum, but you have to start somewhere.  Having found you on Google I hope we have a long association.  I have just discovered (and bought) the 125 Varadero.  I am absolutely delighted with it and look forward to the many months of fun I will have riding it.  Who knows, I may even progress to the 1000 one day.

Anyone in the Northampton UK area?  Would be nice to be part of a crowd of Varadero owners rather than Hornets and Fazers!! lololol  :-\

Hope to see some posts in response to this one.   Hmmmmm???

Hi SoosiG

Pleased to have you on board  ;)

We've only been live since Jan 1 2004 but hoping to pick up some new users as the site gets more popular.

Any questions or comments welcome.

Hiya Redeye.  Well I wasnt sure whether or not I would get an answer but I am glad I did.  I picked up the Varadero XL125 today (I know it is not a big one - yet) and I expect all members on here have the 1000? but it is a fantastic bike, felt like a really big one and I just love it.  Where are you located?  Are there many members who come on the Forum?

Hi SoosiG,

How ya finding the mini-vara?  Assume you're still on L plates, hence 125 bike?  Be interested why you went for 125 Vara over Cityfly (which I wanted pre-test but couldn't afford - had to put up with bloody awful Honda 125 Rebel).  Don't see many female bikers on XL1000V; thinking of getting one?

I reckon the world is my oyster once I have passed the test.  I feel very comfortable on the Varadero, more so than the other bikes I have ridden (Yamaha SR 125, Fazer 600, CBR 500 - All of which I rode whilst doing CBT/DAS).  I chose the Varadero because of all the bikes I sat on and had a feel for the Varadero was the right height, the seat was the right shape and the riding position was perfect for me with my long arms.  I realise that it wont be long before I long for more power but in the meantime I am getting my confidence on the little brother and aspiring to the 1000.  I always regarded Hondas as "mopeds" but seeing the Hornet and the Varadero I am changing my mind rapidly from a Yamaha fan to Honda.
