Main fuse

Hi Guys,I've a 02 varadero, not used for 18months or so, had no ignition replaced main fuse. It started in garage for about 10seconds but had to turn off coz of fumes. Later taken out of garage started instantly for less than a second and cut out, main fuse gone again. Got spare fuses today I put them in and as soon as the four pin cover goes over you can hear it pop again, tried a second time same result. The ignition is off on both occasions, a friend said look for mouse activity so taken tank off and no sign
Any idea's PLEASE...?

Hi Chris. I have a V2 model like yours and the same thing happened to me. After doing some searching on this and other forums, I came to the conclusion that the Rectifier had gone. So I ordered a new one and hey presto. Problem solved.
