Hi
Just purchased a 1000 as my reintro to biking after approx 7 years..   lots of prev experience.
Any recommendations where to seek good cover for sensible Cost (Carole Nash were silly money)
Are the comparison sites realistic??
Cheers

Carole Nash are normally as good as you will get. You will probably be able to find cheaper options but there will be reasons why they are cheaper.

Care to tell us how much Carole Nash quoted you ?

I wonder what happen if I click on this - Ooops

CN = 575

Been online, same details.
MCE 178
Hastings direct 135
MCE does inc breakdown and legal etc protection as std.  want to see if I can cover bike gear too as will end up buying a whole new set of gear as well.
So prob that?s as good as it gets this year.

The Carol Nash quote seems very high. A friend of mine, he's 54, who returned to biking last year said the same thing when he bought his GL1500.
I've been with Carol Nash for more than 10 years and, so far, they have always been reasonably competitive. I'm 61 with full no claims and have a multi bike policy which costs ?300 a year. Maybe I could do better too with Hastings or wherever.
