Not sure which is the best option.

Some people say keep a spare set of keys with you other say leave them at home, at least that way you know where they are.

If you do take a spare set of keys, where do you keep them ?
I wonder what happen if I click on this - Ooops

...I always have a spares set of keys (both house and bike/car) when travelling.

I wouldn't advertise where I keep them. I find it is a good habit to put the spare in "that particular place" and leave it there. You always know where it is then.

A friend recently had his dog lock him out of his car in the middle of a forest in deepest darkest mid Wales. How we laughed. It was a litte terrier - I said "that wasn't lucky". LOL!!

Another good tip when your mate locks his bike to yours or his trailer to yours etc with a padlock is to say "do you have the key...".

If I'm travelling with a mate overseas I'll give him the spare set. Otherwise it's not worth the risk/hassle.

Carry spare key all the time, just as annoying to be stuck 40 miles from home as 400.
I always have mine with me together with ?40 get me home fund incase wallet is lost/nicked.

Also money in two places when travelling

I also take a file with photocopies of all relevant docs such as passport, licence, insurance etc. Another idea is to scan them in and send them to your hotmail account so you can open up anywhere.

Another good tip, when attending an event and your partner takes your car shopping whilst you are 'out to play' then chain your trailer to a mates trailer, it stops him fekin off and leaving you in the pi$$ing rain whilst you wait for the shopping expedition to return....
Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path..... and leave a trail...!

Used to gaffer tape a spare key to inside on by boot (calf area) but now changed to short touring style boots so cant do it any longer - but always try to carry a spare set.

I have taped mine to the OUTSIDE of my back-protector so cos I've always got my coat with me I'll always have a spare key.
