Hi folks, in the winter's before I had the Vara, I would empty the tank off my old R100RT, dry the tank out for winter storage, do any of you do this for the Varadero? have the tank off anyways to replace sparkplugs, thanks for any input.

I don't and have never done anything like that because my bikes are always garaged and are never sitting idle for too long. I think in really extremely cold places some members drain their tanks but I don't think there is a need to do it in the UK.

Thanks for replying, it was a bit of a faf, getting it off, I think next year I'll just fill it up for the couple of months it's off the road, when I had my old R100 I had to replace the original tank because of rust, the next one I bought for it I would empty it out and dry it off, paranoid more than anything, but I was surprised when I bought the Vara I thought all modern bikes just had plastic tanks just with petrol having ethanol in it now, but no still a lot of them have metal tanks.
