Tyre Pressures

The tyre pressures are on a sticker on the swingarm..

Mine says 36/36 for solo, or 36/42 for loaded up..

I have been running Anakee II tyres now for years and always changed them as they squared off, usually about 5/6000 miles running them at 32/36psi. The last ones I fitted I put 40 in the front and 46 in the rear and I am at 6500miles and no sign of squaring. There may be ever so slightly less contact surface but I am happy with the performance of the tyres at the higher pressures. It'll be the first time I've got two European trips out of one set of tyres.

just a  safety reminder  to any absent minded members like myself to watch their tyre pressures and inspect the tyres for damage or nails no harm to check the chain slack and a look at brake pads too . today while changing  my chain and sprockets I noticed I had picked up a screw  I was planning on checking the tyre  pressures any way when passing the car on my way to the garden hose to give her a  quick wash  . so I  got my plugs and plug tool from under the seat  where I keep them with an old pen knife a pliers and a rag and pulled out the screw and plugged it and pumped it up with my ring 12v analogue  tyre inflator . I find this a good reliable inflator just don't abuse it by trying to  pump a tyre up to 90psi to pop a bead or that kind of thing that kills them off .
