Availability of original spare parts

Hello everybody,
struggling with a bit of winter maintenance, given the early storage this year, I went to Honda for some parts, in particular I needed the "chain slider" that broke on top of the fork and the gear pedal, which has made fun of the pin that fixes it.
They told me that the chain slider is "running out", but still available, while the gear pedal is not!
Already this spring I had the bad news that the carburetor membranes, despite being "vital" parts for the bike, were not available !!! .. I wonder, but the manufacturers must not guarantee the availability of spare parts for a minimum of years? Mine is now 20 years old, but the dealer has checked the availability of the gearbox pad of the 2011 version, which he says is identical, but it was not even available for that bike, which is only 9 years old today !!!
Once a car mechanic told me that car manufacturers guaranteed spare parts for 30 years, for motorcycles isn't that so?
Also in England, the carburetor diaphragm is no longer available? and do you have the same problem with original spare parts?
Thanks to anyone with info about it!

Try David Silver spares or just google the part you want and see what comes up on Ebay etc.

I can still do all the things I could when I was 21, but now it is with less teeth.

Thanks, on Google I had already searched far and wide and also on the site indicated by you, for example the carburetor diaphragm as "not available", so I know that there is little to do.
the only thing you can find are used parts on Ebay !!
Thank you.

Have you tried Nutjob Honda Parts? The chain slider is listed there. I've bought parts from them before and they were very quick and reliable

Hello John,
thanks for your answer!
the slider of the chain, I found the Honda dealer (even if they say it is running out ..)
What is no longer available is the shift pedal and the carburetor piston / diaphragm.
They are no longer provided and are no longer available from any channel !!!
The pedal, you can have it done in a mechanical workshop if it breaks, but the carburetor diaphragm is such a special and important part, that without the bike it is unusable !!!
thank you all.

Unless I am missing something I dont think you've done your homework.
The part number appears to be 16111MBT621
Look here  https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/5111657/xl1000v1-2001-e-mph/carburetor-component-parts
This part is no longer made by Honda but appears to still be stocked by some suppliers :

Hi S Barker,
Thank you so much, I couldn't find it anywhere !!! ;D
At least one hour I see to order it, in these days I am dismantling the bike for the service.
a membrane I have recovered from a used carburetor and it is decent, while the other is in bad shape, it would be better to change it, so for a while I'm calm !!
Thanks a lot!!! ;)

Bad news guys, I contacted the first of the sites listed and they told me that their site is out of date and the membrane is not available.
I have now also written to the other two, let's see if anyone has it or they are all outdated sites.
Thanks anyway for your concern.
Regards

Nothing to do, even the second site replied that the part is no longer available.
I ordered a used carburetor, in the hope that out of two, be able to recover at least a decent membrane, however this thing is really absurd !!!
Greetings.
